Hi All...finally a moment to take a breath and try to catch up with all that has been rushing by in my life!
First of all, during that humungous heat wave, Dre and I were on a mini vacation first to the coast and then 3 days for me in Salem while Dre worked for 4 days there.  Dad was presenting at a conference the 1st day, dressed very Uptown...it went real well for him in both presentations he did...  Meanwhile, I had to do something with all that time on my hands, so I shopped thrift stores for my booth and for us.  Mon. night, we drove to up to watch Zack's softball team play in No. Portland at a gorgeous facility...a very summery thing to do as that was the day it was super hot...in Salem, I came out of the GW and found the car outside temp. was 110*...Hooboy...it did plunge to 102*, which felt sorta comfortable.  Anyhoo, we all went for dinner at the bar and grill Lil' Cooperston, Zack's sponsor, where we met Mike and alot of  Z's classmates who were his teamates.  Unsuspecting Mike readily agreed to switch vehicles with me as I found big furniture in Salem at such a deal and needed a truck to transport it home to Ashland.  Sweet natured Mike drove off in  the Subaru with the bumper sticker Bon gave me that says "My Yorkie is smarter than your honor student".

It was so fun...and we really used every minute having a good time...well, actually, Dre was at work but hey, he liked that too. But you know, it's nice to be home...we have such a great location for serenity, view, companionship, friends in low places, and just setting our own schedule of relaxing, reading, puttering, cooking, persuing projects, and recharging batteries. Location, location, location...can't beat it for just being ourselves with our dogs and each other.
